Amber Park Bedroom and Floor Plan Layout
592 units are housed within the 3 towers of Amber Park, beginning from the ground floor and ascending to the 21st storey. The smallest layout is a 463 sq ft (43 sq m) one-bedroom unit with the option of having a study as a separate feature or as an ensuite. In the heat of an en bloc frenzy, the 200-unit freehold condominium, Amber Park, finally went through a successful sale after 3 failed attempts. It set a record sale price (by dollar value) of S$906.7 million in the freehold category and was bought by City Developments Ltd (CDL), its original developer back in the 1980s, and venture partner Hong Realty.
CDL revealed plans to re-develop the site into a luxury condominium, optimising its value given its position as one of the company’s most significant residential property investments over the last few years. With a psf per plot ratio price of $1,515, Amber Park’s en bloc sale was said to have set the bar for future en blocs within the Katong district, reflecting the high demand and positive outlook of developers for choice sites such as itself.
Holding a considerable land area of 213,675 sq ft against the permissible gross floor area of approximately 598,290 sq ft, Amber Park was hotly contested by 8 bidders in total.
